Codes & Conventions of an Action Film

Codes & Conventions

- Fighting

- Weapons

- Enemies

- Cars

- Explosions

- Killing

- Death of loved one

- Mass Destruction

- Big City

How my FMP will conform or Depart:

Fighting:
Most of the action scenes will involve fist fighting scenes.

Weapons:
Weapons will be in the film but not used, guns and knives will be seen but never used, mostly just laying around somewhere or will be disarmed in a fight.

Enemies:
Rather then your traditional Russian or foreign enemy mine is based on a group of youths that are the enemies.

Killing:
The film has about 4 or five character deaths involved.

Death of a loved one:
The film will involve a brother being killed off early on starting a chain of events throughout the film.

Mass Destruction:
There will not be any destruction involved in the film, I have decided to get away from the destruction because it will exceed the budget and their are no scenes that involve this.

Big City:
My film is more in sub-urbs rather then a city, this is because its based around characters in a fairly normal lifestyle rather then in the city.
