Faster - Received a 6.5 on IMDB
The film had mixed reviews but mostly came out negative. It received 44 positive views out of 100 on the rotten tomatoes website. It had a budget of $25 million and grossed over $50 million, so despite the criticism it had made its money back and more.

This film is the most similar to mine, in the fact that its based around two brothers and one of them is killed having the other seek revenge. My film has a completely different location and the story has its similarities but is very different in how the characters are set out and the directions in which they take and the story takes.

Brothers - Received a 7.2 on IMDB
The film received positive reviews from its critics. Rotten Tomatoes said 63% of 148 critics had given the film a positive review with a rating average of 6.2 out of 10. It had two golden globe nominations, Tobey Maguire was nominated for best performance by an actor and U2 song Winter was nominated for best original song.

This film is similar to mine in the drama aspect of the movie. The film is based on two brothers who are very different, one is in the army with a family the other is in trouble all the time. The film separates the brothers through one of their deaths and shows how they change. The idea of the two brothers being like opposites came from this film but with the action used in my film shows their differences in how they deal with their troubles.

Taken - Received a 7.9 on IMDB
Taken received mixed reviews like faster, Rotten Tomatoes gave the film a score of 58% based on reviews from 168 film critics. But the film had a budget of $25 million and has since grossed worldwide $226 million showing its success.

I want to use the same sort of action techniques used in this film for my film. The close action combat moves will be perfect for my film when disarming people from weapons like knives and guns.

Kill Bill - Received a 8.2 on IMDB
The film had mostly positive reviews gaining an 8.2 on IMDB and 85% on Rotten Tomatoes. The film had a budget of around $30 million and has since grossed worldwide over $180 million making it a very successful film.

The films storyline is similar about a character seeking revenge, but with a female lead rather then a my male lead shows some difference, plus Kill Bill's action is very gory and mostly used with weapons especially a sword which differs from my close action combat.
